Kitchen Design Subject Matter Expert

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Kitchen Designer to join our team as a Subject Matter Expert, bringing hands-on industry knowledge to help shape and improve our kitchen design tools and processes by assisting our resident kitchen designer and product team, account team, and training team in a cross-functional role. This hybrid position offers an opportunity to transition from traditional kitchen design sales into a technology-focused role where you'll contribute your expertise to enhance our product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document kitchen design best practices and industry standards
  • Create training materials and documentation
  • Lead training sessions for 3D Cloud designer users
  • Gather feedback from industry professionals while training to bring back to the team
  • Conduct kitchen design focused demos for prospective clients
  • Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders around training efforts
  • Support the product team with evaluation of new kitchen design features

Required Qualifications

  • Based in Charlotte, North Carolina
  • NKBA Certified
  • Confident and comfortable with presenting
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on kitchen design experience
  • Proficiency in 20/20 Design, Chief Architect, or equivalent kitchen design software (minimum 3+ years experience)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working directly with customers and understanding their needs
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Willing to travel both domestically and internationally on occasion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at major home improvement retailers
  • Background in multiple kitchen design software platforms
  • Existing network within the kitchen design industry
  • Experience in user testing or product feedback processes
  • Knowledge of both framed and frameless cabinetry
